P.E.R.V.I.E.W. is the core narrative healing pillar in GROWTH OD. Known as "The Story Healer," it serves as a structured, embodied method for releasing stuck stories, shifting energy states, and enabling high-vibration performance. Developed by Dr. David Boje and Dr. Grace Ann Rosile, P.E.R.V.I.E.W. integrates narrative therapy, quantum storytelling, and embodied leadership into a seven-step coaching and consulting process. It is deeply aligned with the energetics of human transformation and the principles of stakeholder capitalism.

At the heart of P.E.R.V.I.E.W. is the belief that organizations and individuals do not simply operate from strategic plans or goals, but from storied filters that shape behavior, culture, and energy. These story filters are subconscious narratives rooted in personal trauma, collective culture, systemic structures, and organizational histories. They often form early in life or work experience, encoding themselves as emotion-laden, limiting scripts. PERVIEW is designed to decode these filters and co-create new stories, in embodied, vibrational resonance.

The Seven Steps of Processes of Embodied Restorying (PER)

Each of the following steps is paired with a VIEW assessment (Vibrations, Inside thoughts & emotions, Energy rating, and Wave choice):

1.     Characterize: Identify a time when the client or system was at its best. Establish energetic reference points and prepare the soil of the story. Begin with strength.

2.     Externalize: Name the dominant problem-saturated account (PSA). Move the problem outside the person. Make the pattern the target, not the person.

3.     Sympathize: Empathize with the "payoff" of the old story. Understand what emotional safety or benefit it once provided.

4.     Revise: Explore consequences of the PSA. Reframe, test, and prototype alternative storylines.

5.     Strategize: Recall 3-7 Little Wow Moments (LWMs), exceptions to the PSA. Use these as narrative anchors for the new story.

6.     Rehistoricize: Rewrite the client or system’s life history without the PSA as the dominant filter. Embed the new story in time.

7.     Publicize: Share the new story with a support group. Create social resonance and accountability. Anchor the shift in ritual.

Each step includes a VIEW assessment:

·       Vibrations: Dense or light? Voice, breath, posture.

·       Inside Thoughts & Emotions: Looping patterns or release?

·       Energy: 1 to 10 scale. How open is the field?

·       Wave: Collapse the old quantum wave; choose a new future.

Why This Matters in Organizational Development

In traditional OD, storytelling is often a metaphor. In PERVIEW., story is physics. Narrative patterns emit frequencies that can be measured through language, posture, tone, and engagement. When leaders or teams operate from unresolved story filters, their energy drops, creativity closes, and performance becomes rote. By restorying these filters in an embodied way, leaders raise their vibrational frequency and align personal coherence with collective purpose.

One of the key innovations of PERVIEW. is that it treats language as embodied energy. The story isn’t just what’s said—it’s what’s felt. As clients move through the seven steps, coaches track shifts not only in narrative but in somatic cues: breath deepening, jaw unclenching, shoulders lifting. Energy follows story.

PERVIEW can be used at individual, team, or system levels:

·       Individual Coaching: Guide clients through the seven steps with VIEW assessments. Best for executive transitions, burnout, value misalignment.

·       Team Facilitation: Facilitate story circles using PER. Let each team member name a PSA, share a Little Wow Moment, and begin co-authoring a new group narrative.

·       System Consulting: Analyze the dominant cultural story filters in an organization (e.g., “The Disposable Worker,” “The Silent Bystander”) and engage leaders in embodied restorying rituals, such as breathwork and narrative witnessing.

·       With AXIOGENICS: The Central Question can be asked at each PER step to create value-conscious story revision.

·       With G.L.O.W.: Gratitude practices can be woven into Step 1 (Characterize) and Step 7 (Publicize) to uplift the new narrative.

·       With A.A.M.: Each PSA is loaded with unexamined assumptions. AAM methods can clarify these at Step 2 and 4.

·       Characterize: What story energizes you today? When have you felt most alive?

·       Externalize: If your inner critic had a name, what would it be? What slogan does it whisper?

·       Sympathize: What comfort or protection has this old story offered you?

·       Revise: What’s the cost of holding onto it? What’s one new metaphor that could replace it?

·       Strategize: What are your Little Wow Moments of defiance, brilliance, or clarity?

·       Rehistoricize: How would your life story read if this filter were never dominant?

·       Publicize: Who needs to hear your new story? How will you hold yourself accountable?
